Virtual Course Name:A Virtual Event: Adaptive Yoga hosted by True North Adaptive Yoga Program

Description:  CKRI has teamed up with the True North Adaptive Yoga Program to offer FREE one-hour adaptive yoga classes. These classes are for people of any and every ability level. Participants are required to pre-register for both or either of the Tuesday and Wednesday sessions. Join us for 5 minutes or the whole hour of each class. Click and checkout just one class or the entire series of classes available to you on any Tuesday morning and/or Wednesday evening this summer.

Additional Info (optional):

  • What it is: 60 minute adaptive yoga classes led by 2 instructors. One instructor leading the class, demonstrating a variety of adaptive yoga possess and adaptions, and the other instructor providing “real-time” feedback to participants.
  • Who it is for: Anyone interested in learning about yoga, self-awareness, stress management, and wellness.
  • What is expected: observe and/or participate at your own comfort level. Each class will start in a “seated” position and any standard stable chair will be fine to start on. Note – The less padding on the chair the better J. Folding chairs or most dining room chairs work best as long as they are fully stable.

If participants have the ability to move to floor and/or stand they will be given options to do so for certain adaptive yoga possess throughout the class. People can also just stay in the seated position the entire class.

  • What to bring: Wear comfortable clothes that allow for easy movement. Phone or device to get into the ZOOM call. If you have ZOOM video capabilities, please set up camera so it shows your entire body as much as possible.
